Summer is here! With the arrival of this glorious season comes an abundance of squash, zucchini, tomatoes, beans, cucs and more! It’s finally time! Do you have more than your family can use? Are your neighbors beginning to suspect that you’re the one leaving bags of zucchini on their doorstep? Would you like to donate produce to local food pantries, where fresh produce is in short supply and very much appreciated?  The LocalShare GIFT (Give it Fresh Today) sponsored by the Foodshed Alliance can help you distribute those surplus veggies to the local food pantries.

Food pantries at local churches are open Saturdays on a rotating schedule. Please consider donating your extra produce to help provide locally grown food to families in your community. We can help you get your surplus produce to the pantries.

The dates and locations are listed below. If you need your produce picked up at your home on pantry days or another day of the week please call (908) 763-1664 or send an email to gibbsm@blair.edu. Thank you for your support. Just a note…If you have a knack in the kitchen, the pantries would love zucchini breads! Just freeze them and we’ll distribute them!
